I am Mohammad Khairul Izzat, a graduate student from Universiti Brunei Darussalam. I am currently doing Master’s Degree in Economics. I graduated Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 2017 with Upper Second-Class Honors. This is the first time that I will be attending a workshop organized by YSEALI and I am truly grateful as I have a high interest in knowing more about STEM Education. The reason is because increasing the Human Capital of the society through STEM Education plays a vital role in accelerating Brunei Darussalam’s economic growth as the country is trying to reduce its heavy reliance on oil and gas sector. I believe that STEM Education is about using the right approach and thinking for the people/students by helping them to integrate the STEM knowledge in a more logical and holistic way in order to be equipped with 21st century skills.
